Mel Markowitz AS THE MONEY MEN
I was born in Rochester, New York and then moved to New York City in 1968. In 1972, I decided to move to California. How I got into acting was by accident. I was involved with a group of people who introduced me to Cathy Steel. After attending her acting classes I saw what I could do. I was invited to IMTA, where you perform in front of agents and casting directors. After it was all done I won six awards and signed with an agency and truly loved it. I have worked in three movies, one is in post production called UGLY SHOES. Another has been going around film festivals called "ON FALLING." And my first one was "TWO OLD MEN." I've worked on commercials and as an extra on TV shows and movies. The experience has been great. This last one was the icing on the cake, called "THE THREE CANVASES." Meeting and working with these people makes me feel it is a great life. I just have to say this... I got started in this business at the age of 63. It is never to late to start a dream.
